I’m one of those die-hard enthusiasts who has seen The Wizard of Oz (1939) no less than 100 times. It was one of those films that I stumbled upon as a kid and still watch as an adult because it makes me dream, dream, dream.
So, for me to now find out that there was a Land of Oz right here on the East coast in the 70s and that, present day, it reopens every autumn, absolutely blows my mind.
And it’s only about 5 hours away from me, give or take, in North Carolina.
I feel like I’ve been living under a rock. π
(Pssst… I think you can rent Dorothy’s house!)
